Benefits of Membership
Why Become A Member? |Fees | Join CUCCIO-CDPIUC
Institutions are members of CUCCIO-CDPIUC, not individuals, although individuals at member institutions draw benefits from that membership. Eligibility for membership is open to any university that is a member of the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC). Two representatives from each member university may attend CUCCIO-CDPIUC meetings, but each member university will have only one vote.
Why Become A Member?
CUCCIO-CDPIUC provides leadership and advice to its members to assist in the development of the IT community within Canada’s universities. It is a valuable resource for advising other bodies about matters of mutual interest, influencing decision makers about important IT issues, and is a valuable link to the general public and interested professionals about the vital role IT plays in our country’s post-secondary institutions.
We provide services and support that will benefit you and your university. We offer opportunities to participate in joint ventures with other universities, facilitate access to CIOs and act as a resource for our members. Council members meet three times a year, network with other IT organizations across Canada, and publicize activities and successes in trade magazines, in the media, and on our website.
Fees
Membership fees are determined each year by the CUCCIO-CDPIUC Board and provide funding for support, communications, projects and initiatives for the members. The fees are calculated each year using total student FTE as reported to AUCC. The minimum fee is $1600, the maximum fee is $9900. Please contact the CUCCIO-CDPIUC office for more information or to request the fee applicable to your institution.
