Board members are elected annually from representatives of the member institutions and serve for three-year terms (a minimum of 10 directors, elected at the Annual General Meeting).
There are five officers on the Board of Directors.
- The President is elected at the Board's Annual General Meeting (AGM), held each year during CANHEIT.
- The outgoing President moves into the office of Past President.
- The Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer are elected by the Board following the AGM.
The Nominations Committee ensures balanced representation on the Board
by encouraging nomination of representatives from all regions as well
as from both large and small institutions.
